DarkFallMyst Videogames Collection

Escolhi este derradeiro dia de 2008 para proceder a uma análise a tudo aquilo que, significa já uma década como coleccionador. Por muita incredulidade que ainda, pessoalmente, me suscite, já se cumpriram mais de 10 anos desde que, naquele dia 31 de Outubro de 1998 (então com 15 anos) decidi levar mais longe uma antiga paixão. Os jogos de video já eram um amor antigo e, nesse mítico ano que viu Portugal acolher em Lisboa uma Exposição Universal, as condições surgiram para que o projecto da colecção nascesse.

Era uma época em que ainda não existia o fascínio que hoje há pelo revivalismo do jogo antigo. Muito mudou neste decénio quanto a esse aspecto e ainda bem. Não quero significar, porém, que tenha algum tipo de legitimidade acrescida ou compreenda este mundo que é o retrogaming melhor que ninguém. Sei que há certamente quem primeiro tenha posto empenho na divulgação desta "cultura" e quem, actualmente, invista nessa promoção e conheça mais do que alguma vez conheci. Não obstante, sinto-me realizado por, através da minha colecção e algum contributo, deixado ao longo destes anos em blogs e paginas web, ter ajudado ao despertar de novas paixões pelo retrogaming.

Dez anos depois sinto-me feliz pelo que consegui reunir mas, principalmente, por esta reunião, pelos jogos do Darkfallmyst terem proporcionado momentos de extâse, fantasia e boa disposição. Os jogos são isso mesmo, mundos alternativos, livros interactivos que nos ajudam a relaxar, a descansar o corpo e a mente.

E o retrogaming é especial, pois aviva-nos as memórias da nossa infância, de tempos passados, de momentos felizes. A cada jogos antigo, acopula-se uma história de vida, e cada vida é um livro rico de vivências. Por isso não é com conservadorismo (de que o retrogaming é exclusivo de uma comunidade pioneira e restrita) que termino este balanço. É com um convite; abracem o retrogaming!
